Plumas Bank’s holiday traditions

As is their tradition every holiday season, Plumas Bank is hosting several festive events:

Susanville Branch: Celebrate the Magic Holiday Mixer tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 8, 5:30 – 7 p.m.

Chester Branch: They are hosting a holiday Community Supper at the Chester Veterans Hall, also tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 8, at 5:30 p.m.

Greenville Branch: Customer Appreciation Days are Wednesday thru Friday, Dec. 14, 15 and 16, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Portola Branch: Customer Appreciation Week, Monday thru Friday, Dec. 19 ­– 23.

Quincy Branch: Customer Appreciation Days are Thursday and Friday, Dec. 15, 16.

Open house, clothing party

Gary and Bea Cerpovicz are hosting Bea’s first LuLaRoe Clothing Party Open House at Sweet Lorraine’s restaurant at 384 W. Main St. in downtown Quincy on Monday, Dec. 12, from 5 – 7 p.m. Bea said she will have all of the amazing Lularoe clothing on display and available for purchase. Gary is treating the ladies (and men looking for a Christmas gift) to appetizers while they visit and shop. LuLaRoe is a comfort fashion brand specializing in women’s, teens and kids skirts, dresses, tops and leggings along with a few men’s shirts.

FRLT open house, meet and greet

The Feather River Land Trust invites the community to a Holiday Open House on Friday, Dec. 9, from 4 – 6 p.m., at their offices at 75 Court St. for refreshments and holiday gift specials. You also get to meet their new executive director, Shelton Douthit, and his staff. They’ll be glad to share with you how the Land Trust impacts the Feather River region and about the many projects in progress.

PAWS holiday open house

Katy Dixon, director of the Plumas Animal Welfare Society, commonly known simply by its acronym PAWS, tells us they are having their annual Holiday Open House Thursday, Dec. 15, from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m., at their East Quincy facility. She invites you to stop by for some holiday cheer!

Can donations: chance to win prize

You have until Dec. 24 to win a fabulous prize from the Quincy Provisions complex across from the fire station on Lawrence and Bradley streets. where you will find Carey Candy Co., Bell Lane Baked Goods and Brew HaHa. All you have to do is bring by a non-perishable food item to donate to C.A.N. to receive a ticket for the prize drawing. You can enter as many times as you want, but only once daily. So bring an item each day to increase your chances while helping those in need.

Open Sundays until Christmas

To make it a little more convenient for shoppers, Amy Weeks has decided to open her Quincy store, Mountain Mattress, on Sundays from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. She is also open Monday thru Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Her store, which sells name brand mattresses, mattress protectors, toppers, bed frames, headboards, pillows and sheets is on Lawrence Street near Patti’s Thunder Café.
