Discussion of Eastern Plumas Health Care's financial audit for 2008-09 occupied more than half of the Jan. 28 meeting of the board.
Jerrell Tucker of TCA Partners, who gave the presentation, began with an introduction to his Fresno firm, whose distinction is that it only audits hospitals.
Approximately 40 Indian Valley residents filled the Plumas Unified School District's boardroom Tuesday, Feb. 9, awaiting their opportunity to address the school board. A standing-room-only crowd spilled into the hallway; some sat on the floor.
They came prepared with specific details and requests for the district's attention, which they believe is required at Greenville High School, a mere 24 hours after a meeting in Greenville with Superintendent Glenn Harris and district administrators.
The working groups for the general plan update will be meeting in their own districts for the first time next week.
The agendas for the meetings feature discussion of past community visioning discussions on the new general plan along with strengths and weaknesses of the current general plan.
The meetings will be open to the public.
Representatives for the Plumas County Sheriff’s Department have announced their belief that Sergeant Todd Posch, a correctional officer at High Desert State Prison, fabricated two strange incidents in which he reported being attacked.
According to a press release written by Investigations Sergeant Steve Peay, the department’s dispatch center reported receiving a 911 report Wednesday, Feb. 3, from Posch.
