EQSD board to hold special meeting Monday

The East Quincy Services District’s board of directors will hold a special meeting on Monday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m.

The meeting at the EQSD office at 179 Rogers Ave. in Quincy will address the election of Mike Green to the board.

California Hospital Association to take legal action against MediCal cuts

It took a week longer than expected, but the California Hospital Association will move ahead this week with either a request for an injunction or a temporary restraining order to halt MediCal cuts from going into effect until its suit challenging the legality of the reductions can be heard.

Good Vibrations to host Pam Trebes Nov. 19

Pam Trebes of Trebes Studios will host a champagne opening showcasing her latest artwork Saturday, Nov. 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Good Vibrations, 278 Main St. in Chester.

Her show “Doing the Dance on Deer Creek” will reveal her newest mixed-media creations and photography.
