Tuesday meeting to discuss courthouse locations
The Administrative Office of the Courts is considering two parcels for a new courthouse in Quincy. One, a horse pasture at 199 Crescent St. (Highway 70), is not just zoned as a floodplain, it is currently flooded.

Single vehicle accident sends Taylorsville family to the hospital
Two people are hospitalized with critical injuries and four others suffered minor injuries after a single-vehicle accident involving six family members from Taylorsville Sunday evening, April 24.
Sesha Putnam, 30, and Mia Harris, 10, were life-flighted to Renown hospital in Reno. Their official condition is unknown.

Spring Concert set for May 1
Plumas Arts and Face the Music Studio are proud to present the ninth annual Spring Concert of the High Sierra Community Youth Orchestra. The concert will be Sunday, May 1, at Quincy Elementary School and will start at 6:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m.

McClintock to hold Loyalton meeting
Congressman Tom McClintock has announce a town hall meeting in Loyalton on Tuesday April 26 at 4:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Social Hall on Museum St in Loyalton.
Supervisors must redraw district boundaries
It is time to adjust the district boundaries of the five county supervisors.
At the April 12 Board of Supervisors meeting, Plumas County GIS Planner Becky Osborn outlined the redistricting process that must be completed by Sept. 30.
Redistricting is done every 10 years, one year after the federal census.

All-County Jazz Night April 27
Plumas Arts is proud to host Plumas County’s high school jazz bands at an All-County Jazz Night concert at the Town Hall Theatre Wednesday, April 27. The show begins at 7 p.m. and the public is cordially invited to be inspired and impressed by this showcase of young musicians. Admission donations at the door will be used to support school music programs.
