Jeffrey A. Williams has joined Plumas Bank as assistant vice president, commercial loan officer. In his new role, Williams is responsible for generating commercial loans and managing commercial relationships for business clients throughout the Redding region.
A California native, Williams grew up in Redding and is thrilled to be back working in the area. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State University, Chico and earned his Masters in business administration from Regis University.

Kathy Valladon has moved her Portola business, Sierra Valley Quilting, from 257 E Sierra St. to 56 Commercial St. in Old Town Portola. The store, which was opened just a year ago, offers longarm quilting and wide baking fabrics, batting and thread.

How is it that we have a bicycle shop in a town of 2,000 that has thrived for over eighteen years? Bodfish Bicycles and Quiet Mountain Sports in Chester sells, rents and repairs bicycles year round. It also sells Hobie and Liquid Logic kayaks and SUPs (stand up paddle boards). During the snowy months they sell and rent cross country skis and snowshoes. Owner Chuck Elliot said he now carries a variety of backpacking equipment from Mountain Hardware.
Certified Public Account Mary Cheek is celebrating her seventh anniversary serving the greater Lake Almanor Basin from her Chester office. Mary says she is fortunate to have had Jody Syfrett work with her for the past six years. The two are gearing up for the tax season and continuing to offer accounting and payroll services for individuals, businesses, and non-profits. Mary is also a Notary Public.

Budd and Sharon Pence recently celebrated one of their businesses, Heat Transfer Systems, 26th anniversary. They provide refrigeration, air conditioning and heating services throughout Northern California. Budd and Sharon work closely with companies like Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative in promoting environmentally friendly geothermal or ground source heat pumps. Budd and Sharon also own and operate East Side Laundry in East Quincy.
