According to PG&E spokesman Paul Moreno, "There was a gunshot that brought down a main transmission line feeding the Chester area. The outage began about 10:41 p.m. last night and all power was restored at 7:40 a.m. this morning after a crew made those repairs."
The location of the 60kV line was between Hamilton Branch and Chester, just north of Highway 36 and south of New Chester Dump Road.
The website also gave the estimated time of restoration at 9:00 AM Tuesday morning.
