Power outage in the Chester area

Power has been restored to Chester...
 

According to PG&E spokesman Paul Moreno, "There was a gunshot that brought down a main transmission line feeding the Chester area. The outage began about 10:41 p.m. last night and all power was restored at 7:40 a.m. this morning after a crew made those repairs."

 

The location of the 60kV line was between Hamilton Branch and Chester, just north of Highway 36 and south of New Chester Dump Road.

A power outage occurred Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at 10:41 PM in the Chester area and is affecting 1678 customers. 
The PG&E website http://www.pge.com/myhome/customerservice/outages/states, "PG&E is investigating the cause of your outage."

The website also gave the estimated time of restoration at 9:00 AM Tuesday morning.
 
A call to PG&E media representatives confirmed the outage was primarily in Chester, with a few customers in the Mill Creek area.

Apparently this person was a bit excited by the show Revolution, where all the power in the world goes out. Guess he thought he would start with Chester.
