Motorcycle collides with bear

BearCrash

Mark Morong, 60, of Ojai, is treated by Indian Valley fire rescue volunteer Josh Miille Saturday afternoon, Sept. 15, after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a bear on Genesse Road, just south of North Valley Road. Morong was traveling southbound about 45 miles-per-hour when a bear ran out in front of him. Morong was ejected from his 2004 BMW motorcycle and sustained minor injuries to his right arm and shoulder. The dead bear is visible about 20 feet to the left of Morong and Miille.Photo by Alicia Knadler

I can barely discern the dead bear in the photo. It would be nice if we had a "zoom" feature for the photos, here on the web site.

It's good to hear that Mr. Morong wasn't injured too severely.

While its not the same as zooming on the photo, most web browsers have a zoom feature. Try holding down the Control key and clicking on the + key a couple times. If you are using a Mac computer hold the Apple button instead of the Control key. In this case, the photo gets fuzzy as you zoom in.

I agree a way to see a larger picture would be nice. There have been many that I wish I could click on and see "the big picture".
