“We are now back to just another day at work with no further action necessary at this time,” Local 3074 representative Mike Wood said Oct. 23.
The scenario could have been very different had the union members not voted to accept the Collins Pine Company’s last and final proposal presented to them Oct. 22.
“The crew accepted the terms of the contract and ratified the collective bargaining agreement,” Wood added.
In the short amount of time he had prior to boarding an airplane to Portland, Wood did say that the contract did contain “some adjustments to the past agreement regarding working conditions and wages”.
