A big-rig failed to negotiate an icy curve on Highway 89 north of Greenville on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident caused about 20 gallons of diesel fuel to flow into the creek adjacent to the road.
The CHP said the Plumas County Office of Emergency Services and the Department of Fish and Game were on the scene Monday afternoon.
The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident.
