The 17th annual Plumas-Sierra Job Fairs are set for March 27 in Graeagle at the fire department and in Quincy at Feather River College on March 28. Each job fair runs 2 to 4 p.m. Participation for businesses and prospective employees is free and is sponsored by the Alliance for Workforce Development-Business Career Network. kids’ pony rides and more!
The Equine Studies students at Feather River College are having another fundraiser this Saturday, March 23, at Pet Country in Quincy. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the students will be offering pony rides for kids, dummy calf roping and cleaning of any and all tack — and they are just asking for donations. Food, water and baked goods will be for sale as well. Pet Country owners Tim and Michelle Low said that the money the students raise will help them go on class trips with their horses.

Good Vibrations is “viben” once again with an assortment of Fair Trade products two of the owners purchased at a San Francisco gift show.Becky Weatherson and Sharon Geney returned from the Bay Area with lots of new grass purses, bath scrubs, beaded bracelets, scarves, vintage journals, home décor items made from recycled oil barrels and more.The store is located in the landmark Stover Building on Main in Chester.
