High Sierra Music Festival adds Robert Plant to lineup

  The 23rd annual High Sierra Music Festival has announced a headliner whose legendary status is unprecedented in the 23-year history of the festival.

  The voice of Led Zeppelin and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Robert Plant will appear with his latest outfit, Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters.

  The band will draw from Plant’s long career and focus on his years with Led Zeppelin. With a career spanning more than 40 years, Plant is regarded as one of the most important and influential singers and artists in the history of music. His performance will occur on the first night of the festival: Thursday, July 4.

  The 23rd annual High Sierra Music Festival runs July 4 through July 7 at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy. Four-day passes must be purchased for entrance.

  Other additions to the artist lineup include Papadosio, The M Machine (Live), Moksha Featuring Skerik & Jennifer Hartswick, Orgone, The Hot 8 Brass Band, Mike Dillon Band, Nataly Dawn, Silent Frisco, Tumbleweed Warriors, The Melodic, Jelly Bread, Scott Pemberton, Living Folklore, and artists-at-large Skerik and Jennifer Hartswick.

  The High Sierra Music Festival has been recognized for over two decades for its trademark sense of community and annual traditions among festivalgoers and music lovers. Enthusiasts say the picturesque location, wide variety of artists, unique musical settings and affordable prices combine to make High Sierra the “ultimate intimate festival experience.”

  Adult four-day passes are now available for $187 and will increase in price May 13. Teen passes ($99) are valid for ages 13 – 16; those ticket holders must be accompanied by a ticketed adult guardian. Kids’ (ages 5 – 12) four-day passes cost $50; under 5 are free.   Parking is free in an off-site lot, from which shuttle service is provided. On-site vehicle passes are $95; on-site RV passes are sold out; RV Annex passes (off-site RV parking, no hook-ups) are $99; motorcycle passes are $55.

  Premium “FestivALL” packages include four-day festival passes, access to a VIP lounge near the Grandstand Stage featuring elevated viewing, private toilet facilities, a massage chair (limited hours), beer and wine tastings, snacks, late-night combination wristbands for access to all late-night shows, festival T-shirts, festival posters, drink tickets and early entry into festival. These packages are designed for both individuals and groups of two. FestivALL Pack 2 includes a vehicle pass. Prices range from $675 to $1,400. FestivALL Pack 3 tickets are sold out.
