Student art goes up on the walls at Pangaea Cafe and Pub in Quincy on April 26 for a reception. The show will run through May 17. Photo submitted
The Feather River College Art Department is proud to host the eighth annual Student Art Exhibit. A reception for the artists, a free public event, is set for 5 – 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, at Pangaea Café and Pub, 461 W. Main St. in Quincy. All are encouraged to meet the artists, admire the artwork and enjoy appetizers. Some works are for sale by the artists.
The FRC Art Department offers a transfer degree in art, plus it serves community members wishing to learn new skills or expand their present interest in the arts, both in studio courses and in the history of art. Courses offered include painting, drawing, design, sculpture, photography and art lecture courses. Refer to the class schedule for specifics. The fall schedule is out in print and online at frc.edu.
Each year students who have taken an art course are invited to show their works. “The talent is impressive!” say organizers. “Come out and see for yourself!” The exhibit runs through Friday, May 17.
