The Plumas Children’s Council invites everyone to share in the fun of the 26th annual Children’s Fair. The fair will be held Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds in Quincy.

The fair offers families the opportunity to spend the day together doing fun, free activities.

Numerous community organizations, private businesses and county agencies are coming together to offer a variety of activities for children of all ages.

The fair will open at 10 a.m. with a live performance by well-known children’s musician John Carter. Carter will be singing several times during the fair and will have his CDs available for sale.

The ever-popular climbing wall will be back again and this year it will have an additional line going up in order to shorten the wait time. The bounce house will also be back. A variety of crafts will be available as well as other hands-on activities.

Rigs of all sizes will be on hand, including an ambulance, tow trucks, law enforcement vehicles and snowplows.

Animals will abound. There will be free pony rides for the young as well as a small-animal petting zoo that will delight animal lovers.

Once again, food will be plentiful. Pizza, hot dogs, Mexican food and more will all be offered at low cost.

The fair will be held rain or shine.
