Road work continues in Chester

Feather Publishing
Preliminary underground work is taking place this week on the “Chester CIR Project” in Plumas County.

On Monday, May 13, Hat Creek Construction began paving operations on the east end of the Chester Flood Control Channel and on both ends of the Feather River Bridge. Grinding continues throughout Chester.

    Overlay work followed May 20.
Motorists can expect 10-minute delays due to one-way reversing traffic control on the east and west ends of town. There may be various lane closures where multiple lanes exist.
Motorists should pay attention to pilot car signs for the safety of workers. California Highway Patrol officers will be there monitoring traffic.
The project is expected to last approximately eight weeks, weather permitting.
