Amtrak passengers get a special scenic treat Friday, June 14, when their southbound train is sent on a detour through Plumas County. Due to a derailment on the Shasta line, which the Seattle to Los Angeles passenger train usually uses, the train headed from Klamath Falls, Ore., through Westwood and Greenville and onto the Keddie wye just after noon to continue its journey to Oakland.
