In addition to the fires that are part of the Hough Complex, Plumas National Forest firefighters are very busy attacking fires across the forest that resulted from lightning yesterday afternoon and over night.  So far these fires are small and relatively easy to contain due to wet conditions.
The challenge is finding all of them and getting crews on them before todays warmer and drier conditions allow the fires to burn more actively.
Plumas Firefighters are not the only ones attacking fires that rresulted from yesterdays lightning.  National Forests througout northern California are reporting numerous new fires stretching firefighting resources very thin.
