Fourth Art & Wine of Lassen set for this Saturday

Local wineries, artists and musicians will provide wine tastings and art exhibits at Lassen Volcanic National Park’s Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The is the fourth annual Art & Wine of Lassen event. Admission to the national park is free that day. A commemorative glass, benefiting the Lassen Park Foundation, may be purchased for $6.

Performing will be musicians Allison Scull, Victor Martin and Stefan Schittko, who blend elements of folk, jazz, blues, European and Latin music.

Art & Wine of Lassen is billed as for the whole family and will include a magician, face painter and balloon artist. Wineries from the Manton and Shingletown areas, two local craft brewers, a coffee maker, and jam and olive producers will provide tastings.

Painters, photographers, jewelry makers and other local crafters will showcase their artistry. A farmers’ market is planned as well.

Bus transportation will be available from Redding and Red Bluff through Lassen Transit. For additional information, visit lassenrecreation.com.
