The Mohawk Community Resource Center is hosting its annual community spaghetti dinner Saturday, Nov. 9. This very popular event is a fundraiser for MCRC and will allow it to continue offering a wide variety of activities to the community. This year the center needs to raise more than $7,500 for its operating costs.
To accommodate everyone, there will be two dinner seatings: one at 5 and the other at 6:30 p.m. There is also take-out available. The cost is $15, $7 for children 10 and under.
The dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread, cookies and one glass of wine, tea or punch. Tickets can be purchased at MCRC, which is located at the corner of highways 89 and 70. For more information, call 836-0446.
MCRC is the location for weekly Senior Nutrition lunches and provides exercise classes (senior exercise, Pilates), computer classes, access to computers/Internet, facility rental for meetings and events, a social gathering space, a lending library and many annual events to bring the community together.
The Mohawk Community Resource Center is a service of Plumas Rural Services. For more information on MCRC, PRS and the resources and services they offer, visit www.plumasruralservices.org or call MCRC at 836-0446.
