NBC tells Plumas murder story to national audience Friday

In the California mountains, a young father calls 911 to report that he's been in a shoot-out with a car full of strangers. With one man dead and two others injured, authorities wonder if this was self-defense or something else.

Wallin-Reed is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 21. Because of enhancements for using a firearm and causing great bodily injury, he faces a minimum sentence of 50 years to life.
