With unusually warm weather in the afternoons, certain golf courses around the area decided to stay open a little later than usual this year. Here’s a handy list of the courses in Plumas County and their predicted closing dates.
The 18-hole course plans to stay open until the Saturday after Thanksgiving, weather permitting.
Plumas Pines Golf Resort
If the weather keeps up, the par-72 course will remain playable through Nov. 10.
Lake Almanor Country Club
There’s not much time left to play this nine-hole course, as it closes Oct. 31.
This course is closed for the season, but will reopen May 1 next year.
Dragon at Nakoma Golf Resort
This first-class course closed last week, but will hopefully reopen at the end of April 2014.
Lake Almanor West
This nine-hole course will remain open through Nov. 4.
The folks at Mt. Huff will keep the nine-hole course open as long as possible. They suggest calling ahead to verify hours.
