The Chester Community Chorus and the Lake Almanor Handbell Ensemble will provide concerts this weekend: Saturday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8, at 4:30 p.m. The venue, Chester United Methodist Church, is located on Highway 36 at Glenwood Drive in Chester.
“Sing with the Angels” is the title for this weekend’s concerts. As the title suggests, audience members will be invited to sing with the chorus during two different sing-along portions of this year’s concerts.
The performers are excited to demonstrate their accomplishments under the direction of conductor Jane Brown, who comes to the group highly accomplished. Her directing style has greatly benefited the group in expanding its knowledge and abilities, members say: “She has provided a challenge and we look forward to sharing what we have learned with you.”
These are the only two performances offered this year. A suggested $5 donation is collected at the door. However, if audience members would like to give more, the group welcomes additional contributions: “Your support enables us to perform more for you and share the joy of music during this most wonderful season and all the year through.”
