The Rotary Club of Chester is sponsoring the 17th annual Lake Almanor Memorial Weekend Craft Fair on May 24 and 25 in the Chester Park.
The Saturday and Sunday fair, open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., is host to a variety of unique craft mediums including, but not limited to, specialty food items, handmade lotions and soaps, pressed flowers, jewelry, woodworking, photography and yard and fine arts.
“We are always looking for unique, handcrafted items. This will be the fifth year Rotary has hosted the event.
“We have yet to have a booth for leather tooling and there is a group of people particularly interested in this craft and are hoping to see the art at this year’s event,” Rotary president Cheri McIntire said.
In order to ensure a successful event for both vendors and patrons, the show is juried and registrations are limited. Rotary limits the number of vendors to 55 and all booth items must be handmade. Resale items, manufactured or commercial products are not allowed.
Crafters have two options for display, either a 10-by-10-foot area for $125 or a 10-by-20-foot area for $240. The payment reserves crafters the selected display area only and covers their participation for both days.
Vendors are responsible for supplying their own tables, chairs and, if needed, electricity.
Applications may be requested by emailing email@example.com or by calling Cheri McIntire at 258-2516. Space is limited and applications must be received no later than May 2.
Revenue from the annual event will return to the community through the many youth programs sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chester.
“We hope that residents who attend this year’s event will be pleasantly surprised by the new and unique crafts offered by the vendors,” McIntire said.
