A downed power line to a transformer has knocked out power in the community of Chester.  According to PG&E supervisor Kevin McCallam, the cause of the downed line is not known.  As of 11:00 a.m, he estimates the repair will take approximately four hours.

The west shore of Lake Almanor is also without power due to a downed power line in the Prattville area.   Repairs for this line are expected to take about two hours.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
