The Quincy and Greenville boys' basketball teams met for a league contest in Quincy Friday night, Jan. 22, with Quincy winning 63-35.
The Quincy Trojans took a 15-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and went into halftime with a 32-18 advantage.
Quincy outscored Greenville 15-5 in the third quarter and 16-12 in the final period.
Matt Rouse (pictured) poured in 29 points for the Trojans, including four 3-pointers. Cody Cline earned 16 points and Justin Moritz captured eight.
For Greenville, Chris Huckins led with 14 points, followed by Justin Posch with 11 and Chris Brown with eight.
The next night, Jan. 23, Quincy played at home against Princeton and won 56-37.
Princeton led 17-15 after the first quarter, but then Quincy outperformed Princeton 14-3 in the second quarter, 16-7 in the third quarter and 11-10 in the final period.
Co-captains Cody Cline and Matt Rouse each scored 17 points for the Trojans.
Keshawn Johnson and Cline claimed 13 rebounds apiece. Matt Rouse earned 10 rebounds and Keefer Hokanson added eight.
Johnson led with seven steals and six assists.
