Joseph E. Nowicki, age 83, of Hobart, Ind., formerly of Quincy, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Mary Nowicki; three sisters, Sister Louise Nowicki FSC, Martha Jonak and Irene Rzepka; and two brothers, Edward and Casimir Nowicki.
Survivors include two sisters, Rose Dominik of Hobart, Ind. and Mary Sotak of California, and many nieces and nephews.
Joseph was a member of the American Legion Post No. 207, Silver Bell Club, PNA Lodge 2365 and Polish Roman Catholic Union of America. He was a retired steelworker from U.S. Steel Co. and was a WW II army veteran.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Prusin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.
David A. Benner, 54, passed away March 15, 2010, at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy.He was born Feb. 15, 1956, and lived in Greenville. He is survived by his wife Linda.Service will be held this Saturday, March 20, 2 p.m. at the Church of Christ on Warner Valley Rd, Chester.
