Budget hearing

The Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District is preparing its annual budget. Pursuant to the California Health and Safety Code Section 40131, the District will conduct a public hearing on May 24, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at the Sierra County Recreation Center, 104 County Road in Calpine, California. If the May 24, 2010 meeting is cancelled, then the hearing will be conducted via two-site video conference on June 28, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Helling Library Large Conference Room, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City, CA, and at the Plumas County Library, 445 W. Jackson Street, Quincy, CA. The public hearing is for the exclusive purpose of providing the public and interested parties with the opportunity to comment on the proposed District budget for fiscal year 2010-2011. Written comments may also be submitted to the District during the hearing or mailed to Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District, P.O. Box 2509, Grass Valley, CA 95945, but must be received in the Grass Valley office before 5:00 p.m. on May 21, 2010. The Plumas County Board of Supervisors will be holding a public hearing on the following matter on Tuesday, May 04, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisor Room 308, Courthouse, Quincy, California.

Pursuant to Ordinance 02-967 regarding "Outdoor Festivals", application has been received from Belden Town Resort for three outdoor music festivals:

Bobolink Music Festival - June 04-07, 2010

Big Bounce Music festival - June 18-20, 2010

Sustenante Music Festival - June 25-27, 2010

The Board will take public input and comments about this event, and conditions appropriate for the permit.
