Offering a change of season lift, the Good Vibrations gang and friends will host a Spring Wellness Faire April 15 – 17.
More familiarly known as the Winter Wellness Festival, guests can expect the same quality and enlightening experiences they have enjoyed for the past four years.
Entitled “Keeping it Simple: Our Three Best Tips for Healthful Living,” the event will offer a supper, bonfire and drumming and a variety of 20-minute presentations.
The faire will begin Thursday evening at the Chester Memorial Hall with Jules and Julie offering the Lake Almanor Basin a gourmet treat for the season finale of the twice-monthly Almanor Community Supper.
Jules and Julie, better known as Jules Riley of Cosmos Culinary Creations and Julie Wann of Bella Luna Creative Catering, will offer the community a gourmet supper of macaroni and cheese, organic salad and French bread. The meal will be completed with a sumptuous dessert of yogurt lemon cake topped with mixed berries.
“This fresh, healthy and organic supper has been gifted by the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church. It will begin at the usual time of 5:30 p.m.,” said faire co-sponsor Sharon Geney.
The second segment will offer a bonfire and drumming experience at 7 p.m., Peterson’s Place, at 139 Main St. in Old Town.
Saturday will return the faire to the 278 Main St. location of Good Vibrations and a series of presentations.
Beginning at 10 a.m., guests can pick and choose from topics that include information about dreams, yoga, skin care, massage, aromatherapy, love and wisdom, mindful living, inspired cooking, effective parenting, sound meditation and much more.
Jules and Julie will also be present to offer a homemade lunch. For more information about the Spring Wellness Faire or to reserve a lunch, call 258-4663.
