Candidates for District 5 supervisor, sheriff and county assessor have been invited to the forums being held by the League of Women Voters of Plumas County Monday, April 26, in Quincy and Thursday, April 29, in Portola. Forums will begin at 7 p.m. at the Quincy library meeting room and at the Portola Memorial Hall.

    Supervisorial candidates, Jon Kennedy, Dick Lundy and Ralph Wittick, will have the opportunity to answer questions from the public.
   Greg Hagwood and Bob Shipp will address issues facing the sheriff and law enforcement in the county.
   Incumbent assessor Chuck Leonhardt will face challenger Mike Gardner.
   Questions are posed by a moderator who is a member of the League of Women Voters. Responses and statements by candidates are timed.
   This year, the Quincy forum will be available as a live video stream at californiashownsell.com/index.php?plumas_icam. This is the site of Plumas iCam, operated by local resident Barry Gossett.
