The proposed $31 million Belden power plant project by PG&E was endorsed by a four to one vote by the Plumas County Board of Supervisors this week.
Chester volunteer firemen set fire and razed an infamous structure in Chester Sunday. It was the house that in which the Santos gang plotted the robbery and murder of Chester grocer Guard Young and his three children in October of 1952.

An application to organize a Plumas Bank with headquarters in Quincy was filed with the California State Banking Commission this week. The proposed board of directors and founders include the following organizers: Jerry Kehr, Oliver McGill and Jessie Wellenbrock of Chester; Everett Bey, Bob Moon, Bob Dellinger, Ernie Leonhardt and Rich DeMars, all of Quincy; George Bartlett of Portola, Mike Shaw of Graeagle and Bob Schoensee of Mohawk.

Lloyd Crawford, who has overseen Plumas County's mental health and drug & alcohol programs for the last 15 years resigned at the Tuesday Plumas County Board of Supervisors meeting.
