The All-League selections for the 2010 softball season have been announced for the Feather River League.
Chester’s Tahja Watkins was chosen as the league’s Most Valuable Player. As a junior, Watkins finished the season with 47 hits, 39 RBIs, 42 runs, 15 doubles, six triples and five home runs.
Quincy named five all-league selections after taking first place in league. They were: Rachel Hatzell, Kd Drybread, Katie Barnes, Camille Hernandez and Kimmy Bloom.
Chester’s other all-league players, in addition to Watkins, were Hannah Gustin, Casey Delay and MacKenzi Lee.
Portola’s all-league players were Lindsey Compton, Ellie Kibble and Cassidy Ledwig.
For Big Valley, Kelsey Hawkins and Cheyanne Bricker were chosen to the all-league team.
Greenville’s Alex Posch and Loyalton’s Miranda Gunier completed the list of all-league selections.
Honorable mentions went to Sarah McKenzie (Quincy), Jennifer Wolfe (Quincy), Shaye Quam (Chester), Bailey Smith (Chester), Daijia Thomas (Portola), Bailey Holt (Portola), Hailey Stevenson (Big Valley) and Megan Misageo (Loyalton).
