Public Notice
The Beckwourth Ranger District is developing a proposal to realign portions of the Mount Elwell Trail, Mud Lake Trail and Long Lake Connector Trail. These trails have steep pitches that would be realigned with sweeping turns for better sustainability. Sections of the Mud Lake Trail and the Long Lake Trail that are in low wet areas or drainages, would be rerouted out of these areas. These trails are located in the Lakes Basin Management Area T21N R11E Sections 1 & 12 and T21N R12E Sections 6 & 7.
