The Forest Service, Lassen National Forest, Almanor Ranger District, has made available an Environmental Assessment/Initial Study (EA/IS) for the Philbrook Spillway Channel Rehabilitation Project. The Almanor Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is pro-

viding this EA/IS to present the environmen-

 

tal consequences of two alternatives analyzed in detail, including no action. The project area is located in T. 25 N., R. 4 E., sec. 12 and 13. Copies of the EA/IS are available for your review at the Almanor Ranger District office, 900 E. Highway 36, Chester, California.  Additional information regarding this action can be obtained from: Kurt Sable, District Hydrologist, Almanor Ranger District, P.O. Box 767, 900 E. Highway 36, Chester, CA 96020, by telephone at 530-258-2141, and email at ksable@fs.fed.us.

This comment period is intended to provide those interested in or affected by this proposal an opportunity to make their concerns known prior to a decision being made by the Responsible Official. Those who provide comments or otherwise express interest in the proposal by the close of the comment period will be eligible to appeal the decision pursuant to 36 CFR part 215 regulations.

How to Comment and Timeframe

Written, facsimile, hand-delivered, oral, and electronic comments concerning this action will be accepted for 30 calendar days following publication of this notice in the Chester Progressive, the newspaper of record. The publication date in the newspaper of record is the exclusive means for calculating the comment period for this proposal. Those wishing to comment should not rely upon dates or timeframe information provided by any other source. The regulations prohibit extending the length of the comment period. Individuals and organizations wishing to be eligible to appeal must meet the information requirements of 36 CFR 215.6.

Boat docks use permit hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Zoning Administrator will hold a public hearing on the following matter on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, in the Planning & Building Services Conference Room, 555 Main Street, Quincy, California.

10:00 a.m. Pine Cone Lodge RV Park - Special Use Permit Amendment

This project is a request for an amendment of an existing Special Use Permit to extend the expiration date for two 10-slip boat docks. The original special use permit was approved on August 10, 2005.

This project is located at 414 & 416 Peninsula Drive, Lake Almanor, CA; Assessor's Parcel Number 104-072-012.

This project is not subject to CEQA under Section 15301 (e) of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines.

All interested persons are welcome to attend the above hearings and will be given an opportunity to address the Zoning Administrator. Notice is further given that said hearing is being held in accordance with Government Code Sections 65355 and 65856 and Plumas County Code Section 9-2.1152.
