Harper Jo Cannon was born to Jamie and Wes Cannon of Quincy Aug. 12, 2010, at 8:12 a.m. at Plumas District Hospital in Quincy. She weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces.

Maternal grandparents are Cathy and Erick Bechlel, also of Quincy and William Meiners of Plano, Texas.

Paternal grandparents are Cindy and David Bust of Duncan, Okla. and Gary Cannon of Albuquerque, N.M.

Harper joins Jenoma, 2-1/2, at home.

Oliver Thomas Whiting was born to John and Lacey Whiting of Quincy Aug. 15, 2010, at 6:41 p.m. at Enloe Medical Center in Chico. He weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces, and was 20-1/2 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Richard Roach of Carlton, Wash., Carol Potts of Terre Haute, Ind., and Ozell and Krista Profit of Portola.

Paternal grandparents are David and Debbie Whiting of Quincy.

Maternal great-grandparents are Bill Potts of Terre Haute, Ind., and Nancy Smith of St. Helens, Ore.

Paternal great-grandparents are Paul and Louise Whiting of Quincy and Richard Hubbell of Oroville.

Oliver joins Amaya Marie, 2-1/2, at home.
