30 YEARS AGO.......1980

More than 1,000 persons attended the open house grand opening of the new Plumas Bank in Quincy last Saturday. More than 300 charter accounts were opened during the open house festivities. It has been 45 years since there has been a bank in Plumas County that has been owned and operated by Plumas County citizens.

10 YEARS AGO.....2000

In a blow to holiday cheer, Sierra Pacific Industries ordered a two-week lay off last week for all three of its local mills including Quincy, Susanville and Loyalton and includes some 500 workers.
