Mrs. Minnie Metzker today joins the ranks of the Plumas National-Bulletin correspondents representing Beckwith in the columns of the county newspaper. Mrs. Metzker has been postmaster of the Beckwith post office for two years, resigning recently.

Approximately 250 toys were given to local youths of needy families for Christmas that had been made and repaired by the inmates of the Plumas County jail.

Telemedicine, a new service that allows patients and their doctors to meet online with large hospitals and universities via computers and phone lines have been instituted at both Indian Valley Hospital in Greenville and Plumas District Hospital in Quincy.
