Art students are invited to “Come hang with Bill” in a tribute show to artist and teacher Bill Peters.
The concept is for an art show displaying some of Peters’ work alongside that of his students at multiple locations in downtown Quincy beginning Oct. 29.
Students who are unable to submit artwork are invited to make a written statement about Peters’ influence. The statements will be collected in a book for the Peters family.
“We want to pay tribute to Bill’s legacy,” said organizer Dusti Bremel, a student of Peters. She said he had invited her to “hang with him” in a show, but he passed away before they were able to show together.
Bremel asks artists to send their artwork past-paid return mail.
