Sierra Hospice will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2011 and in recognition of this outstanding accomplishment they will be sponsoring a “Good Grief” golf tournament Saturday, June 4, at the Bailey Creek Golf Course, at Lake Almanor.
Registration is at 8 a.m. and play begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The $120 registration fee includes a round of golf with a shared cart, free range balls and an entry gift.
The tournament will include entry gifts, raffle prizes, a $5,000 putting contest, two hole-in-one contests in which players can win either a 2011 Polaris RZR or $5,000 cash, and a tri-tip lunch. Additional lunches may be purchased for $20 each.
“We are also offering — in the spirit of hospice care — ‘memory flags,’ either in memory of or in honor of a person of your choice,” said Karron White, coordinator, Sierra Hospice.
For more information about the tournament, or to register to play, call office manager Shirley Canalia at 258-3412.
White said she hoped the community could help support this event by registering a foursome for $120, through a company sponsorship for $100 or by purchasing a memory flag for $50.
