Notice of Special Recall Election
Notice is hereby given that a special recall election will be held in the City of Portola on Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
The election will determine if Daniel J. Wilson, member of the Portola City Council, shall be recalled from office. The election shall also determine a successor for the seat on the Portola Council if the recall vote is affirmative. The successor shall fill the term which will expire in November 2012. All registered voters within the City of Portola are eligible to file for candidacy; forms can be acquired at the Office of the City Clerk, Portola City Hall, 35 Third Avenue, Portola, California. The nomination period will take place from December 21, 2011 to January 12, 2012 at the hour of 5:00 p.m. In the event there are no nominees for the office the appointment will be made in accordance with California Elections Code Section 10515.
The Special Recall Election shall be conducted by "ALL-MAILED" ballot from March 12, 2012 through April 10, 2012. There will be no polling place available on Election Day.
