Colby Mountain Telecommunication Site Upgrade

Tehama County
California High Patrol has submitted a proposal to replace telecommunication facilities constructed in 1977 at Colby Mountain to provide improved communications to meet California Essential Services requirement. Proposal includes: site grading, construction of 590 sq ft communication vault, a 4 legged, self supporting 120' tower, 170 sq ft generator vault and new generator, installation of 48 solar modules, a 999 gallon propane tank, and structural infrastructure for all. Existing facilities are under a communication site lease to California Department of Transportation. Upon completion of this project a new 30 year lease will be issued to CHP, the site plan will be amended, the existing facilities will be removed and the site restored. The new facilities will provide communications for CHP, DOT, Cal-Fire, and DFG. Construction is planned to begin May 2012 with completion by October 2012. Provisional Appointment of Trustee
Feather River Community College District Pursuant to California Education Code Sections 5091 and 5092, the Board of Trustees of the Feather River Community College District has made a provisional appointment of Dr. Dana S. Ware as the member of the Board of Trustees representing District 5. This vacancy occurred as of December 8, 2011, and was duly filed with the Plumas County Superintendent of Schools on December 13, 2011, with an effective resignation date of January 2, 2012. The provisional appointment was made at the Board of Trustees meeting held January 19, 2012. In accordance with California Education Code Section 5092, Dr. Dana S. Ware will hold the office until the next regular election to be held in November 2012. Pursuant to California Education Code Section 5092, unless a petition calling for a special election, containing a sufficient number of signatures, is filed in the office of the County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment, it shall become an effective appointment.
