Chips evacuations upgraded; Prattville now under mandatory evacuation

9:00 p.m. update

The Plumas County Sheriff's Department has upgraded the evacuation notice for the Chips Fire.

Prattville is now under mandatory evacuation.

A Voluntary Evacuation is in place for Almanor.

An Advisory is in effect to all West Almanor and East Shore residents (Hwy. 147) advising of the potential threat of the fire to the areas.

Highway 89 is open at this time.
