The Plumas National Forest is soliciting competitive offers for the Revised Solomon Stewardship Project.
The Solomon Stewardship Project is is located in Plumas County, California approximately 5 miles NE of Quincy, CA. Legal: Sections 3, 4 & 9 of T. 24 N., R. 10 E.; and sections 13, 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 33, 34 & 35 of T. 25 N., R. 10 E.; MDM. Sealed - "Best Value" offers will be received by Contracting Officer Elaine Gee at the Tahoe National Forest Supervisor's Office at 631 Coyote Street, Nevada City, California 95959 at 10:00AM local time on the 14th of September 2012, for an estimated 35,366 Tons (4,827 MBF) of sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting on 1,328 acres and 2 stewardship projects. Stewardship projects are: 1-Cut and Remove Biomass (trees 3.0" to 9.9" DBH as specified) to Landing, Including Decking/Piling on approximatly 1,061 acres (Mandatory), 2-Cut and Remove Biomass (all trees 3.0" to 9.9" DBH) to Landing, Including Decking/Piling on approximatly 235 acres (Mandatory) & 3-Chip and Haul Biomass to Processing Facility for an estimated 42,543 Tons (Optional). The volume of Biomass to be removed is only an estimate, the volume and value of the product to be removed is Subject to Agreement. Contract contains Specified Roads with an estimated cost of $4,237.00 plus deposits for Road Reconstruction Engineering. The Forest Service will evaluate competitive offers submitted by offerors who present a price offer and technical proposal according to the information found under the section in the offer titled "Instructions to Offerors." Evaluation factors for this project are organizational experience, organizational past performance, local community economic enhancement (including small business enhancement), understanding the Government's requirements and price. One award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and whose technical/price relationship is the "best value" to the Government.
