Last week was a good week for most high school volleyball teams in Plumas County, with three teams improving their records significantly.
Greenville got its first two wins of the season, against Elk Creek and Chester. Portola took down Loyalton and Williams and Quincy beat Champion Christian and Oroville. Chester was the only team without wins, with losses to Greenville, Mercy and Redding Christian.
Greenville started its season a little rough with 12 straight losses. The team mainly played in tournaments or faced larger teams. The losing streak came to an end Oct. 1, however.
