NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of the Beckwourth Fire District has adopted a preliminary budget for:  (1) Salaries and wages, (2) Services and Supplies, and (3) Fixed Assets. The preliminary budget can be inspected during week days at the FIRE STATION, 180 Main Street, Beckwourth, CA  between the hours of 8:00 AM and 12:00 Noon and that said Board of Directors will meet at the FIRE STATION on July 19, 2012 at 6:30 PM for purpose of fixing the final budget for said Fire District at which time and place any taxpayer in the district may appear and be heard regarding the increase, decrease or omission of any item of the budget, or for the inclusion of additional items.

Sealed bids will be received by the State of California, Department of Boating and Waterways, Boating Facilities Division, 2000 Evergreen Street, Suite 100, Sacramento, California, 95815, until 2:00 p.m. according to the clock inside the Main Cal Boating Conference Room, Thursday June 21, 2012, after which they will be publicly opened and read for the following work:
Project Title: Main Ramp Parking Improvements; Project Number: 890; Duration: 120 Calendar Days Description: The project consists of the demolition and removal of existing pavement, existing extruded curb and existing drinking fountain. Work includes installation of fiber reinforced Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), Installation of Paving Mat and Geogrid interlayer, Striping parking lot, installation of solar light pole, accessible drinking fountain, concrete sign, slope stabilization & installation of overside drains per Caltrans standards and miscellaneous work. The work is located at Main Launch Ramp in the Frenchman Lake, Plumas County. The estimated cost is $344,000.
Each bidder must have: Class A or B contractor's license.
JOB WALK: A job walk for this project is not scheduled.
Prospective bidders may examine and obtain bid documents through the Bidsync website at http://www.eprocure.dgs.ca.gov/default.htm. Registration to view and download bid documents is a free service.
A Payment Bond and a Performance Bond are required equal to 100% of the contract amount.
This contract is subject to state contractor nondiscrimination and compliance requirements.
The Department has ascertained the general prevailing wage rates in the county in which the work is to be done as listed by the Department of Industrial Relations. This information is on file with the Department in Sacramento, California.
The bid award is subject to the "Small Business Procurement and Contract Act" 5 percent bid preference rules.
The successful bidder must enter into a contractual agreement in the form of a Standard Agreement - std 213.
