It’s Girl Scout cookie time!

Girl Scouts are pre-selling cookies in the Quincy area from now through Jan. 21.

Those who would like to order a box of Thin Mints or any of the other offerings may call 260-0365.

But not to worry, while pre-sale deliveries will be made beginning Feb. 19, the popular Girl Scout Cookie booths will be scheduled from Feb. 23 to March 18.

This year there is a new cookie vendor so there are some different offerings, including Savannah Smiles, lemon cookies rolled in powdered sugar; Toffetastic, toffee cookies that are gluten free; and S’Mores, a graham cracker, chocolate and marshmallow concoction that is nonGMO. The latter two sell for $6 per box, rather than the $5 for the other selections.

Girl Scout Troop 244 will use money from the cookie sales to purchase books for the school library and to help fund a troop trip.

It would have been nice if you would have published this before Jan. 21.

The photo and story ran on the front page of the Feather River Bulletin on Jan. 17. The story also includes information to allow those who missed the presale to know that there will be plenty of opportunities to purchase the delicious cookies.
