Friday morning Earthquake near Lake Almanor

The  U.S. Geological Survey says a minor earthquake struck overnight near the Northern California town of Chester.

The magnitude-3.6 quake struck at 2:20 a.m. Friday. It was centered in a remote area about eight miles southwest of Chester and 8 miles west of Prattville in northern Plumas County. The epicenter of the quake was estimated to be 1.1 miles deep.

There are no reports of damage or injuries.
