Feather Publishing
9/11/2011

Saturday afternoon lightning started three small fires on the Plumas National Forest.  One of the fires was near Little Grass Valley Reservoir, one near Feather River College, and the other on the north side of Spanish Creek.  All of the fires are contained.
The Forest Service will be making a reconnaissance flight over the area to detect any additional fires that may have been sparked by the lightning.
Additional lightning is forecast for the next  couple of days.
