Draft of County General Plan available for review

The Plumas County Planning Department has made the Draft General Plan, dated Oct. 14, with changes incorporated, available to the public via the county website (countyofplumas.com) as a news flash or under Planning Services. The Planning Department can also provide the draft upon request by email, CD or hard copy (limited quantities). There is a counter copy available for viewing at Planning & Building Services, 555 Main St. in Quincy; plus, a copy is in the process of being sent to each of the county libraries.

The planning commissioners are currently reviewing the Draft General Plan. They will have an opportunity at the Planning Commission meeting Oct. 20 to direct the General Plan Update Team to use this draft for the environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act.

Final adoption of the General Plan, with an additional opportunity for public comment, is anticipated in late spring 2012.
