QHS senior organizes Relay benefit
For his senior project, Quincy High senior Ethan Skemp is organizing a Relay for Life benefit dinner Sunday, Feb. 26. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. in the Mineral Building at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds.
Aspiring chef Tony Schafer will make dinner and Kayla Westman is making dessert.
Skemp has lined up entertainment for the evening: Dottie Hall and her jazz choir will perform and Cassie Cooper, local chapter president of Relay for Life, is the keynote speaker.
Tickets, $8 per person, are available at Carey Candy Co. or see Mrs. Beer at Quincy Elementary School.
Donations are gladly accepted and go directly to Relay for Life. Proceeds from the dinner also go directly to Relay for Life.
