A Lake Almanor woman was arrested Friday night, Feb. 24, on multiple charges, including auto theft.

Georgia Ann Miles, 34, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on Portsmouth Street in Taylorsville.

She was charged with felony auto theft, being in possession of a stolen vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and possession of marijuana.

She was booked into the Plumas County Jail and the vehicle was returned to its owner.

At approximately 6 p.m., the CHP received information that a vehicle reportedly stolen in Oroville on Feb. 20 was seen being driven by Miles on southbound State Route 89 in Greenville.

Miles soon turned onto Arlington Road toward Taylorsville.

A CHP officer quickly located the vehicle and apprehended the suspect.

According to the owner of the vehicle, he had provided Miles a ride to Oroville. During their time together, she allegedly stole the vehicle and some cash.

The victim reported the incident to the Oroville Police Department.

No description of the vehicle was provided for this report.
