About Feather Publishing's Plumas County newspapers: The Feather River Bulletin is among California's oldest newspapers having been established in 1866 (as the Plumas National). Its' Plumas County sister newspapers; the Chester Progressive, Indian Valley Record, and Portola Reporter were established in 1946, 1930, and 1927 respectively. Each paper is published weekly on Wednesdays.
Letters to the editor are limited to a maximum of 300 words. Deadline for submittal is 3 p.m. on Fridays.
